We’re thrilled to officially introduce Cultivara Tree Tours to the UBC Botanical Garden community! Cultivara offers Vancouver’s first guided tree climbing experiences, operating out of the Garden for the 2025 season. Led by expert climbing arborists and using ropes, harnesses, and modern climbing systems, these tours combine the excitement of climbing with education on tree biology, urban forestry, and forest ecology. We want people to see trees from a new perspective!
Launching in May, Cultivara will operate during and after Garden operating hours from Friday-Sunday, with additional weeknight availability for sunset tours. Cultivara’s core tour offerings include the following:
