UBC Botanical Garden is committed to providing a comfortable experience for all.
For guests with accessibility and mobility challenges, there will be accessible pathways marked throughout the David C. Lam Asian Garden. A limited number of benches will also be available throughout the Garden for guest needs.
Please email us at garden.admissions@ubc.ca or call 604.822.4208 for more information on accessibility at the Garden and to notify us about your accessibility needs. We will do our best to ensure that we provide the best experience possible when you visit.
The Garden is a tobacco-free environment. Smoking and tobacco products are not allowed on Garden property, including all buildings, grounds, restrooms and parking lots.

If you have additional questions with purchasing, transferring or cancelling tickets, please contact garden.admissions@ubc.ca or call 604-822-3928. Someone will contact you within the business hours of 10:00am – 4:30pm.
You are welcome to take photos for your personal use. Commercial photography is prohibited without prior consent. Please email garden.bookings@ubc.ca for instructions and guidelines. All photography requests should be directed to our Photography & Filming department.

Other than service dogs, the Garden is a pet-free zone. Kindly leave your pets at home as it is dangerous to leave any pets in the car and our parking lot does not offer any shade.

Yes you are welcome to bring food and have a picnic at the Garden. We also have a Garden Cafe that serves coffee, drinks, snacks and ice cream. Please be mindful and sit in designated seating areas in order to preserve our collections.
No. Nitobe Memorial Garden is a separate garden located at 1895 Lower Mall, Vancouver, BC V6T 1Z4, about a 20 minute walk from the Botanical Garden.
