Garden Tour Request

Thank you for your interest in visiting UBC Botanical Garden. Please complete and submit the following form. A Garden staff member will check the availability of your request and contact you to confirm the booking details or suggest alternative dates in the event that we cannot accommodate your preferred time. Tour requests should be submitted at least two weeks in advance and are subject to the availability of our Garden Guides. Requests can take up to one week to process and are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis.

  • Let us know your educational priorities. If there are specific topics you would like our Garden Guides to focus on, we will do our best to accommodate your request. We are working hard to connect our programs to the BC Curriculum. The more we know about your indoor teaching priorities the better we can accommodate your outdoor education needs. Please check off or comment on specific topics you would like us to focus on. *Please select a maximum of 3

  • Getting to the Garden
    • Transportation is not included in your tour but we are near local transit stops (#49 bus and #C20 UBC Shuttle)
    • 3 hours free parking is available provided that the license plate is registered at the meter
    • Bus parking is available provided that the license plate is registered at the meter

  • Your time at the Garden
    • Appropriate attire must be worn, including close-toed footwear
    • You must have your hands free during the Greenheart TreeWalk
    • Upon arrival, please pay for your tour and let your Guide know your departure schedule
    • We do not have indoor lunch facilities or shelter in the event of inclement weather
    • Washrooms are located at the front entrance and beside the Food Garden
  • Please list your first and second time choices below. Please check seasonal operating hours for the Garden (9:30-4:30) and Nitobe Memorial Garden (11:00-4:30).
  • Declaration
    As the leader for this group, I agree to the following rules designed with our Code of Conduct to ensure the protection of plants and animals in our Garden:
    • • Minimum 10 participants for all tours
    • • One complimentary chaperone for every eight students
    • • One organizer per group, and payment is on the day of your tour at our Admission Desk
    • • Do not pick or remove plants and materials from the Garden
    • • Be respectful of other visitors and the facilities
    • • Stay on pathways and lawn areas to avoid damaging the plant collection
    • • Dispose of waste in appropriate bins or pack out your garbage
    • • Please save snacks for designated times and locations
    • • Be respectful of other visitors and the facilities
    • • Please do not video our Garden Guides
