This spring, we invite you to capture the blossoming beauty of UBC Botanical Garden and Nitobe Memorial Garden.
As cherry trees burst into bloom, we’re celebrating spring at its most vibrant. Submit your best photo taken in the gardens between March 14th and June 1st, 2026, for a chance to win exclusive prizes and have your work featured across our official platforms.
When: March 14th – June 1st 2026. Entries close June 30, 2026, at 11:59PDT. Winners will be announced in the following week.

Terms and Conditions:
- Open to all individuals 18 or older, and must be based in Canada.
- You can submit as many original photos as you’d like, as long as they were taken at UBC Botanical Garden or Nitobe Memorial Garden.
- You can submit files in JPG, PNG, or TIFF format. Minor edits are allowed, but AI-generated images will not be accepted.
- All submitted photos will become the property of UBC Botanical Garden and Nitobe Memorial Garden, which reserves the right to display and to publish entries (including title, location of photo, name, and description) for promotions, advertising, print documentation, social media platforms, and websites.
- Late or non-compliant entries will not be considered. By entering, you confirm that you are the original creator of the submitted images, that they were captured during the promotional period, and that they do not violate any third-party rights, including copyright or privacy.
- Please note that tripods, luggage, large equipment and costumes, or special event outfits are not permitted.
- Photographers cannot block paths or access to any areas of the Gardens.
