Code of Conduct

The following guidelines ensure the protection of the plants and animals in our gardens and safeguard visitors while in the Garden. For the safety and enjoyment of all garden visitors, each tour organizer is responsible for the appropriate behaviour of their group.

• Enjoy flowers and plants with your eyes. Do not collect or remove plant material.

• Participants are to wear appropriate attire and closed-toe footwear and be prepared for all types of weather.

• The Garden is open to natural elements such as pollen and insects. Please connect with your participants so they are prepared.

• Listen to and respect directions given by Garden staff.

• Be respectful of other visitors, the facilities, and the gardens.

• Please walk carefully while in the Garden and stay on pathways to avoid hurting plants and compacting soil.

• Pack it in – pack it out. Please dispose of waste in appropriate bins or pack out your waste.

• For tours with children and youth, chaperones (teachers and parents) are expected to remain on site and actively manage their groups during the visit.
