The Year of Pulses

While the United Nations has deemed 2017 to be the Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, we haven’t forgotten that 2016 was the Year of Pulses! In fact, January 18 is Global Pulse Day.

Dr. Tara Moreau and Tamara Litke from the Garden’s Sustainability and Community Programs have penned an article featured on the pulse website of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). In it, they discuss the benefits of pulses, and how the Garden wove pulses into its programs, special events and even the Horticultural Training Program throughout the year.
