Gardens and green spaces have long been places of reflection. In contrast to the bustle of modern life, gardens in urban areas are idyllic sanctuaries. In “Cross-cultural comparison of physiological and psychological responses to different garden styles Dr. Mohamed Elsadek (Tongji University), Minkai Sun (Jiaxing University), Nitobe Memorial Garden Curator Ryo Sugiyama, and Eijiro Fujii (Chiba University) compare the physiological and psychological states of participants in gardens of varying styles: landscape, Japanese and architectural gardens.
