We are looking for energetic and team-oriented Wayfinders for both UBC Botanical Garden and Nitobe Memorial Garden. Wayfinders assist guests at waystations throughout the Garden on topics such as accessible pathways, directions, and traffic flow. As a volunteer, you will enjoy free access to the Garden at which you volunteer.

As we embark on bringing in volunteers to the Garden during a time of change, we would like to have volunteers attend this online training session. This orientation session will review:

  • How the garden has adapted its operations to COVID-19
  • Expectations for volunteers
  • Duties and responsibilities for Garden Wayfinder position
  • Provide access Garden resources to deliver outstanding customer service.

We are excited to work with you to deliver excellent guest services and share our love of plants and nature with our community. Volunteers are key to the Garden and we thank you for your time and contributions.
