2023 Tourism Challenge

The Tourism Challenge is an annual tradition and is an amazing opportunity to explore the many wonderful attractions in the Vancouver area. This year, we are proud to announce that UBC Botanical Garden and Nitobe Memorial Garden are both participating in the Tourism Challenge from April 22-May 31, 2023.

There are four opportunities to get two (2) stamps total between UBC Botanical Garden and Nitobe Memorial Garden:

One (1) stamp is available from Nitobe Memorial Garden and one (1) more stamp from UBC Botanical Garden OR you can get two (2) stamps from UBC Botanical Garden.

Tourism Challenge at UBC Botanical Garden

Instructions:

To obtain two (2) stamps at UBC Botanical Garden, you must answer 2 out of 3 questions at the Wayfinder’s station.

  • Stamps for UBC Botanical Garden will be provided at the Wayfinder’s station from Tuesday and Sunday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
  • Please note that the last admission to Greenheart TreeWalk is at 3:30pm
  • Please enter and exit the garden via the Shop in the Garden
  • Gatehouse attendants will NOT be providing stamps

Note: If you have answered 2 questions and have received 2 stamps, no more stamps can be awarded at both UBC Botanical Garden AND Nitobe Memorial Garden

Tourism Challenge at Nitobe Memorial Garden

Instructions:

To obtain one (1) stamp at Nitobe Memorial Garden, you must answer one question outside the gates.

  • Garden admission is included with your passport, however not required for the challenge
  • Stamps for Nitobe Memorial Garden will be provided at the Alumni Centre: at 6163 University Blvd from Tuesday to Sunday: 10:00am – 4:30pm
  • Gatehouse attendants will NOT be providing stamps
  • Please note that the Museum of Anthropology (MOA) is also providing stamps at the Alumni Centre.

You can head down to UBC Botanical Garden for one (1) more stamp!
