UBC Botanical Garden invites you to Climate Conversations 2026: People and Plants in a Changing Climate, our community-facing climate research forum. This inspiring full-day event brings together researchers, artists, environmental organizations, and community members to explore how plants help us understand and respond to the climate crisis.

What to Expect
Participants will experience a dynamic and welcoming program that includes:
- Three interdisciplinary research panels featuring climate researchers from diverse fields
- A keynote presentation by site-specific theatre maker Kendra Fanconi
- A catered lunch and opportunities for informal conversation
- A climate-themed guided tour of UBC Botanical Garden
- An introductory poster session with local environmental organizations

Registration opens at 8:30 am, and we kindly ask guests to arrive early to allow time for check-in so we can begin promptly.

Early Bird (Non-member): $65 + tax
Garden Members: $65 + tax
Early Bird (Garden Members): $55 + tax
Students: $40 + tax

We aim to make Climate Conversations 2026 as accessible and inclusive as possible. Presenters will use accessible, non-specialist language, and accommodations will be provided where needed for both presenters and audience members. Graduated pricing and a limited number of bursaries will be available for those experiencing financial barriers.
