Come enjoy a personal tour of the Alpine Garden with curator Laura Caddy. Learn about some of the unique plants and the stories behind them. Originally from Alberta, Laura Caddy worked in various fields of horticulture and agriculture before graduating from the Niagara Parks Commission School of Horticulture. After completing internships at the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University and Royal Botanic Gardens in Ontario, she joined the University of Alberta Devonian Botanic Garden, where she held the positions of Supervisor of Horticulture and Living Collections, Alpine and Native Plant Collections Curator and Plant Records Manager. Laura joined the staff at University of British Columbia Botanical Gardens as Curator-Horticulturist of the E.H. Lohbrunner Alpine Garden in July of 2016.
Please meet Laura at UBC Botanical Garden’s entrance 5 minutes before the start of the tour. Remember to register your car in our parking lot – the first three hours of parking is complementary (option 2).
